Another innovative feature for the One Nation software platform is on the way, furthering the sovereignty of the Samson Cree Nation, and we are proud to be part of it. One Nation in partnership with the Samson Cree Nation is developing a simple yet powerful module for issuing identity cards directly by Samson membership staff. This significant feature not only reinforces the Nation’s autonomy but also aims for these documents to be internationally recognized, allowing them to be used as valid travel identification.
The Samson Cree Nation, located within Treaty 6 territory, is a sovereign nation dedicated to improving the quality of life for its people while preserving the Cree language and cultural traditions.
Issuing sovereign identity documents is a crucial step toward self-determination and international recognition for the Samson Cree Nation. However, the acceptance of these documents as valid travel identification will depend on the immigration laws and policies of other countries.
